Sautéed Spinach with Sultanas, Pine Nuts & Breadcrumbs


Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes


Serves: 4 people

  • 50 g Sultanas
  • 2 cloves SuperValu Garlic
    roughly chopped
  • 4 tbsp SuperValu Olive Oil
  • 50 g SuperValu Pine Nuts
  • 500 g SuperValu Spinach
  • 150 g SuperValu White Bread
    cut into half cm size dice


  1. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat, add the pine nuts and sultanas and cook for about 1 minute.
  2. With a slotted spoon, remove the sultanas and pine nuts onto a plate.
  3. Add the diced bread, garlic and salt to the pan and cook for 3-6 minutes until the bread is golden brown.
  4. Remove on a plate.
  5. Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the pan, on a medium heat.
  6. Add the spinach and cook until the spinach just wilts.
  7. Return the pine nuts, sultanas, diced bread and garlic to the pan with the spinach, cook for a further minute then serve immediately.
  8. Season to taste.
