Delicious Dressings


Four fantastic flavours to choose from. Great on any salad.

Serves: 4 people

  • 75 g Blue Cheese
  • 5 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 cloves SuperValu Garlic
    finely diced
  • 0 - SuperValu Onion
    finely diced
  • 0 tbsp SuperValu Parsley
  • 1 tsp SuperValu White Wine Vinegar
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 50 g SuperValu Dark Brown Sugar
  • 3 cloves SuperValu Garlic
  • 1 - SuperValu Green Chilli
  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Oil
    for frying
  • 1 medium SuperValu Onion
  • 4 tbsp SuperValu Soy Sauce
  • 300 ml Tomato Ketchup
Garlic Mayonnaise
  • 6 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Fresh Chives
  • 3 cloves SuperValu Garlic
    crushed finely
Sweet Chilli
  • 200 g Caster Sugar
  • 2 - Fresh SuperValu Mixed Chilli
    seeded and cut into long thin strips
  • 300 ml SuperValu White Wine Vinegar


Blue Cheese

  1. Place the finely diced onion and garlic into a large mixing bowl and whisk in the mayonnaise, milk and white wine vinegar.
  2. Whisk well to ensure it is well combined.
  3. Crumble in the blue cheese, add the parsley and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and allow to chill until required.
  5. Use within 3 to 5 days

Barbecue Sauce

  1. Heat a medium sized saucepan with a little oil and add in the diced onion, garlic and chilli with the cinnamon stick and cook until softened.
  2. Next add in the brown sugar and allow this to melt over the ingredients.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce and the tomato ketchup, bring the mixture to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat, remove cinnamon stick and transfer the sauce to storage jars until required.
  5. Keep for up to 2 weeks.

Sweet Chilli

  1. Place the chillies in a pan with the sugar and vinegar and bring to the boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until reduced by half.
  3. Remove from the heat and leave to cool completely.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and cover with cling film.
  5. Place in the fridge and use as required.
  6. It will keep for up to six months.

Garlic Mayonnaise

  1. Combine the ingredients together in a bowl and chill until required.
  2. Use within 3 to 5 days.
