Make your own crackers by slicing day old bread. They will cook in the oven in 7-8 minutes at 180˚C.

  • 0.5 pack Baguette slices
  • 1 bunch Chives
  • 1 pack Crackers
  • 2 tbsp Cream Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Creme Fraiche
  • 1 tbsp Goats Cheese
  • 1 medium Lemon zest and juice
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 pack Peppered Smoked Mackerel
  • 1 pinch Salt and Pepper


  1. If you want to make your own crackers, thinly slice day old bread. Place on a baking tray, sprinkle with olive oil and sea salt and bake in the oven at 180˚C for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, break the mackerel into pieces. Add the crème fraiche, the cream cheese, the goat's cheese and crush with a fork until soften. Check the seasoning.
  3. Spoon the mackerel pate on the crackers. Zest the lemon over the crostini and drizzle some lemon juice over.
  4. Just before serving, sprinkle a few chives over the crostini. Serve immediately.
