This is a very simple paste to make and is delicious to have on hand to add a sense of the Mediterranean to your life. It can be served with bread or crackers as an appetiser, used as a pizza base for the more adventurous, or just brushed over chicken before roasting.

Ingredients

  • 4 - Anchovies
  • 250 g Black Olives (stoned)
  • 3 cloves SuperValu Garlic
  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Goodness Walnuts (chopped)
  • 0 - SuperValu Lemon (1/2 of lemon, juiced)
  • 150 ml SuperValu Olive Oil

Method

 

This is a very simple paste to make and is delicious to have on hand to add a sense of the Mediterranean to your life. It can be served with bread or crackers as an appetiser, used as a pizza base for the more adventurous, or just brushed over chicken before roasting.

  1. Add all the ingredients into a food processor and blitz for 2-3 minutes until a suitable smooth consistency is achieved. If you would like to alter the consistency, you can add a little extra olive oil to the purée.
  2. This paste can be stored in the fridge for seven days. Store it in a sterilised jar in the fridge and cover the top of the paste with two extra dessertspoons of olive oil.
