Cancelling Your Policy During the Cooling-Off Period (Within 14 Working Days)

If you purchase an insurance policy and decide it’s not suitable for you, you have the right to cancel your policy within a specific timeframe, known as the cooling-off period. Here's what you need to know:

What you get: If you cancel within 14 working days of when we inform you that your policy has started, we will refund your full premium — the total amount you paid, provided you have not made a claim or been involved in any incident that may result in a claim.

What you receive: If you cancel after the cooling-off period has ended, we will refund the part of your premium that covers the remaining days of the policy, minus an administration fee.

We will not refund less than €15.

If you are paying in instalments, we do not refund any amount unless you made an overpayment.

No refund is available if a claim has been made on your policy or you have been involved in any incident likely to result in a claim during the current period of insurance.

Special Note for Motor Policies

If your policy covers a vehicle (motor policy), you must also return your Certificate of Insurance and Motor Disc when cancelling, whether during or after the cooling-off period You can post these documents to:
