What happens to my points?
From May 19th, you will stop earning Real Rewards points when you pay your Electric Ireland bill. You can continue to redeem any existing Electric Ireland vouchers on your Real Rewards account until 31st July 2022.

  2. I have an Electric Ireland voucher on my account, should I use it? Yes, If you currently have an Electric Ireland voucher on your Real Rewards account, you will need to redeem it on the Electric Ireland Rewards website before it expires on 31st July 2022.
  3. I have vouchers on my account and won’t be able to use them by 31st July, what should I do? Please call us on 0818 220 088 or email help@realrewards.ie with your Real Rewards card number along with your full name/telephone number listed on your Real Rewards account. If you have multiple vouchers on your account which cannot be used, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
  4. Do I need to take any action here? No, you do not need to take any action, you will automatically transfer over to the new programme upon launch.

Terms & Conditions

  • From May 19th 2022, you will stop earning Real Rewards points when you pay your Electric Ireland bill.
  • You can continue to redeem any existing Electric Ireland vouchers on your Real Rewards account up to and including 31st July 2022, and the following terms and conditions apply to such redemptions:
  • The value of a voucher is €5/€10 credit against the Electric Ireland account(s) registered on Electric Ireland Loyalty Programme.
  • The value of a voucher is €5 or €10 when it is used at www.electricirelandrewards.ie.
  • Members can use up to 2 voucher codes per bill only.
  • If you have registered 2 accounts on the Electric Ireland Loyalty Programme, i.e. a gas and electricity account, you can use up to 2 voucher codes on each energy account in any given billing period.
  • If you have multiple vouchers on your account which cannot be used, they can be refunded before 31st July 2022.
  • A voucher code cannot be used twice (i.e. it cannot be redeemed against both a gas bill and an electricity bill).
  • Vouchers are time bound (i.e. may only be used within specific time periods), are non-transferable and can only be used as a credit against the registered Electric Ireland account holder’s account.
  • Vouchers will only be credited against the customer’s energy bill and cannot be provided as cash if the customer’s account is in credit. There is no cash alternative to the voucher.
