Serve this gorgeously creamy cheese sauce as a dip for your tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 30 g Butter
  • 0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 240 ml Milk
  • 30 g Plain Flour
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 230 g SuperValu Signature Tastes Mature Red Cheddar grated

To serve

  • 1 bunch SuperValu Scallions chopped
  • 1 pack SuperValu Signature Tastes Piccolo Cherry Vine Tomatoes
  • 1 pack SuperValu Tortilla Chips

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat. Stir in the flour to form a thick paste.  
  2. Add in the milk and whisk until the milk is incorporated, raise the heat and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and lower to a simmer allowing the sauce to thicken. Add the pepper and salt and whisk to combine. Turn off the heat and add the cheese, stirring to combine.  
  3. Place your cheese in the center of the table and serve with some tortilla chips topped with chopped tomatoes and scallions.
