This is a lovely variation on the simple porridge recipe, i do recommend that the blueberries are gently folded in at the last minute, or just scattered on top - otherwise you may not get the expected results!
Reduce the heat to a simmer, and stir occasionally with a wooden spoon for a further 6 – 8 minutes, until the porridge coats the back of the wooden spoon.
Remove from the heat and fold in half the blueberries. Add a spoonful of the apple sticks, then scatter with some blueberries and drizzle with a little honey. Serve immediately.
TOP TIP: There are so many different variations of porridge such as banana & cinnamon, stewed rhubarb, nuts and dates, fruit compotes and super seeds like flaxseed and linseed, so give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.
