We use only the finest quality ripe red peppers for flame grilling to bring out their extraordinary tangy taste. The result is a wonderfully complex relish, bursting with flavour that adds a delightful kick to any meal. We source the finest peppers from Murcía in Spain and combine them with locally grown herbs, spice, and vegetables wherever possible. It’s currently the only fire-roasted pepper relish available on the market.
We’ve been making preserves, relishes, and chutneys in Ballyvourney Co. Cork since 1983, starting with a generations old family recipe for marmalade. We developed the recipe for our pepper relish after flame grilling ripe red peppers at family barbecues about ten years ago and falling in love with the deep smoky taste. From those humble beginnings, our relish has gone on to take the top gold award at Blas na hEireann for two years running and, naturally, we’re very proud of it.
