30 g Butter
0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper
240 ml Milk
30 g Plain Flour
0.25 tsp Salt
230 g SuperValu Signature Tastes Mature Red Cheddar
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat. Stir in the flour to form a thick paste.
- Add in the milk and whisk until the milk is incorporated, raise the heat and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and lower to a simmer allowing the sauce to thicken. Add the pepper and salt and whisk to combine. Turn off the heat and add the cheese, stirring to combine.
- Place your cheese in the center of the table and serve with some tortilla chips topped with chopped tomatoes and scallions.
