This classic, robust Dijon dressing will stand up well to the big  flavours of the Sunday brunch and works equally well with a mixed green leaf salad.

Cooking time: 5 minutes


Serves: 4 people

  • 1 - Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp SuperValu Olive Oil
  • 1 - SuperValu Salt
  • 1 - SuperValu Shallots
    Finely Chopped


  1. Whisk together the chopped shallot, vinegar, mustard and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl.

  2. Whisk in the oil gradually to make a thick dressing, then season with the salt and pepper.
  3. This will keep for up to one week in the fridge in an airtight container or screw-top jar.
