Kevin needs no introduction. One of Ireland’s best-loved chefs, he has family recipes for every occasion; everything from the perfect steak to the perfect Sunday lunch. And when Kevin is not helping us out here at SuperValu, you’ll find him busy in the kitchens at Dunbrody Country House, the renowned Wexford Hotel and Cookery School he owns with his wife.
If you love seafood, you’re in luck. Martin is one of Ireland’s leading seafood chefs and his philosophy is ‘Fish is nature’s fast food. It is a gift, not a commodity, and deserves our respect.’ Martin will be bringing us the very best in fish and seafood recipes plus plenty of top tips for cooking it.
If you cook regularly for your family and want a little more inspiration, Sharon is the one to watch. An accomplished multi-tasker, she’s a mum, food stylist and food writer. And when you see the gorgeous recipes she creates, with a focus on family cooking, cooking for little ones and home baking, her passion for food really shines through.
Identical twins David & Stephen Flynn really are proof that good things come in pears. Chefs, founders of the Happy Pear Café and food business, and authors of a best selling cookbook, David and Stephen’s mission is to get people to “eat more veg”. A simple philosophy, reflected in their delicious and wholesome recipes.
Michael O’Meara started his training in GMIT in Galway and worked in several Michelin starred restaurants in France. He also worked under Jean Bastiphe Moulinere in Dromoland Castle in the early 1990s where, along with a brigade of 22 chefs, they had a Michelin star. He then moved to be part of the opening team of JJ O’Malley’s in Westport where he learned a lot of what it takes to open your own restaurant. Stay tuned for Michael's delicious fish recipes.
Niall Breslin, known as Bressie, is an Irish musician and former Westmeath Gaelic footballer. He found success as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter with pop band The Blizzards, as a co-writer and producer with XIX Entertainment and as a solo artist. He has appeared on television as a coach on The Voice of Ireland and as an iron-man athlete in his documentary series Ironmind. Recipes can be viewed here shortly.
David is certainly one of our most multi-talented ambassadors. A former Irish international track and field athlete, David entered and won Masterchef in 2010. He has since gone on to release his own cookbook, filled with recipes that cater for people with a high-energy lifestyle.
