It is a full flavoured brie with a soft creamy interior, with a combination of hazelnut and fruity aromas.
Brie’s reputation was founded in 774, when French Emperor Charlemagne declared it ‘one of the most delicious dishes’. This brie is made to strictly controlled standards in the town of Meaux, east of Paris. A delightful soft and creamy cheese, its flavour and aroma can vary as it matures over time. Perfect on a salty cracker, brie is also a treat eaten with apple, berries and pears.
Brie de Meaux is perfect for the connoisseur cheese board or served with walnuts.
