Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Bakery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides our customers with excellent quality products and services.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

HACCP training is desirable but not necessary

Excellent communication skills

Previous customer service experience is an advantage

The ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure

A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers

Main duties:

Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative

Prepare customers bakery orders

Bake, prepare and display the Bakery Products sold throughout the day

Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day

Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers

Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy

About the locality:

Riordans Supervalu are looking to recruit a Counter Sales Assistant for our Instore Bakery in Fermoy, Co. Cork (P61 AX04)

This is a Full time position, and the successful candidate will be working 5 days per week, serving customers, taking orders and ensuring the display is reflective of the excellent range available. This position is not suitable for seasonal staff or college students due to the working days/hours required.

Experience within a customer service role will be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Candidates should be within commuting distance of Fermoy, and a Cover Letter must be submitted with your CV in order for your application to be reviewed.
