Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Bakery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides our customers with excellent quality products and services

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 2 years€,, experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
  • Previous food preparation and production experience
  • 2 years€,, experience as a Baker
  • Qualified baker is a distinct advantage
  • Must be able to deliver a proven margin
  • Creative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Main duties:

  • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
  • Drive sales through KPI reports, financial reports, brand initiatives, customer initiatives and employee knowledge
  • Enhance product knowledge by gaining information from a range of sources and share ideas, suggestions, builds on existing procedures/processes with employees and management
  • Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times
  • Adhere to weekly stocktaking procedures
  • Ensure all staff reporting to you are competent in any duties required and are given adequate training relevant to their tasks
  • Attend and engage in management meetings and bring learnings and builds back to the team.


  • About the locality:

    We are currently recruiting for Experienced Bakery Managersat Kavanaghs SuperValu in our Barna and Moycullen stores.

    We`re looking for committed and skilled Bakery Managers to join our growing team in afull-time, long-term role. This position offers stability, a collaborative environment, and the chance to make a real impact.

    Must have a proven track record of Bakery experience/skills or related roles, 1-2yrs minimum experience.

    Knowledge of HACCP & SOP`s, Food safety & relevant training.

    Reliably commute or plan to relocate to our store before commencing employment.

    Must be available to work 5days per week on a permanent basis& commence ASAP.

    Candidates must be available to work full time flexible hours.

    This is a Full Time Permanent Role

    Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

    Due to the full-time nature of working hours and required experience,this position is not suitable for students.
