Job description:

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the post office operates efficiently and effectively at all times and ensures cash is secured and balances correctly.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Experience in a similar position is an advantage
  • Minimum 1 years€,, experience in a cash handling role
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills

    Main duties:

  • Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the post office
  • Maintain all security measures, ensuring all valuables (cash, coupons etc.) are kept secure
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Reconcile daily cash in line with post office procedures
  • Conduct daily safe counts
  • Complete over and under reports daily


  • About the locality:

    PART TIME ROLE 15 - 20 HOURS PER WEEK - 2 DAYS

    We are looking for a part time administrator for our Kinsale Post Office, to work 1.5 - 2 days a week and do some holiday cover in the office when required.

    Will suit persons that are comfortable with cash handling, attention to detail and is customer orientated.
