Senior Football Championship Flag Bearer Giveaway by SuperValu – Terms & Conditions
There will be 12 winners of the Senior Football Championship Flag Bearer Giveaway (the “Giveaway”). The winners will each receive a pair of tickets, one ticket for the child taking part as a flag bearer (the “Flag Bearer”) and one for their chaperone who must be over 18, to the Senior Football Championship Semi-Finals, on either [ July 13th ] or [ July 14th ] . Each Flag Bearer will also receive a ‘flag bearer kit’ which consists of a GAA Flag Bearer jersey, shorts and socks. Transport & accommodation is not included.
Entry to the Giveaway is gained by clicking the enter button on the email you receive from Musgrave, correctly answering a test of skill question and providing the entrants contact details and selecting your preferred date of [ July 13th ] or [ July 14th ]. You will receive this email if you are a Real Rewards member who has opted in for marketing communications.
You must be over 18 years of age to enter and you must be a resident in the Republic of Ireland. Musgrave reserves the right to request proof of a winner’s identity, age, and address. In the event that a prize winner cannot provide us with proof of identity and age reasonably acceptable to us, we may withdraw the prize and select another prize winner.
The child who will be the Flag Bearer must be between the ages of 8 and 12 to be nominated by the winner.
Musgrave reserves the right to draw an alternative winner in the event that we believe any winner has contravened these Terms and Conditions.
No purchase is necessary.
Musgrave will randomly select the winners for each date, based on the date you indicated as your preference, from the entries that have entered by the closing date of 11.59pm
The initial winners will be notified by Musgrave via email or phone within 1 business day of the closing date of June 30th, 2024.
The winners must then respond to the notifications as instructed within 1 business day of receiving their notification.
If a winner does not respond to our notifications within 1 business day, then that winner will forfeit all rights and entitlement to the prize and another winner will be selected at random.
A Musgrave representative will get in contact with the winner who has been chosen. The Musgrave representative will send the tickets digitally via email when available to the winner and liaise directly with the winner for details needed for the flag bearer opportunity (for example kit size, child’s name etc.).
By entering the Giveaway, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and consent to the transfer of their personal data and the personal data of their nominated child to the GAA, in order to facilitate the administration of the prize.
By entering the entrant grants Musgrave the right to publish his/her first name, the child’s first name on SuperValu social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, and on SuperValu website). The entrant also grants Musgrave the right to disclose the results of the Giveaway including the winner's first name, the child’s first name for a maximum period of 14 months from date of entry.
If a winner shares positive feedback to Musgrave about the Giveaway, Musgrave, with the winner’s permission has the right to publish his/her feedback and first name on SuperValu’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, and on SuperValu website).
Any person entering the Giveaway will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and all entries must be strictly in accordance with these terms and conditions. Any entry not in strict accordance with these terms and conditions will be deemed to be invalid and no prize will be awarded.
No alternative prizes are available and there is no cash equivalent.
One entry per person is permitted. Anyone found to be using multiple accounts to enter will be deemed ineligible to enter the Giveaway.
SuperValu will not be liable for any damage, loss, or disappointment suffered by any person in entering the Giveaway, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize. SuperValu accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, or delayed, due to an error in transit. SuperValu does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware, or software failure of any kind, which may affect the sending, receipt or processing of your entry.
In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, results and all other matters relating to Giveaway, the decision of SuperValu shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
SuperValu reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Giveaway or amend these terms and conditions at any time for any valid technical or commercial reason, without notification.
This giveaway and these terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law. The Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Terms and Conditions or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
The sole promoter of the Giveaway is Musgrave, which is registered in the Republic of Ireland. Registered Office: Musgrave, Airport Road, Cork.
Chaperones and sponsors are not permitted to accompany the Flag Bearers while the flag bearer activity on the pitch takes place. Only the organisers and members of the GAA Commercial and Children’s Welfare department are permitted pitchside with Flag Bearers. All personnel will be Garda vetted and have appropriate clearance.
Participants must be at the designated meeting point at the allocated time. Chaperones will not be able to accompany the children from this point onwards. The flag bearer activity may proceed without all Flag Bearers, should Flag Bearer not present themselves at the designated meeting point on time.
The GAA reserve the right to remove a Flag Bearer from the line up at any time if circumstances require e.g. child being distressed, causing undue disruption to the activity etc.
Flag Bearer kits will be provided to successful candidates for wear on the day. Flags will be in the colours of the counties playing in the fixture. Best efforts will be made for successful flagbearers to hold the county-coloured flag of preference however, this is not possible in all cases and is not guaranteed.
Consent forms must be filled out by the winners in advance of participation.
