Owner and founder of Domaines Auriol, Claude Vialade tells us about this years rosé.
Claude Vialade is the owner and founder of Domaines Auriol, makers of The Maison Vialdes range from Corbieres in southwest France.
The Maison Vialdes range was created as an homage to the patriarch of her family on her 85th birthday.
The grapes exhibit all the style of Château Vialde as well as the elegance and spirit of the Mediterranean.
She is particularly pleased with this year’s rosé which is both crisp and refreshing, well balanced and fruity, perfect with food or on its own and is very evocative of southwest France. It has a bright pink colour with purple hues and an aromatic, persistent pear drop nose. Notes of pureed fruit and crushed red fruit. Fresh aromatic palate.
As for the best food match for this wine, Claude feels it is ideal with barbecued or grilled meat.
Relative newcomers to the SuperValu portfolio they are enjoying a very good working relationship and hope Supervalu customers will continue to enjoy their wines for years to come.
