Phosphorus

When it comes to looking after our bones, we tend to hear a lot about minerals like calcium and magnesium but not a whole lot about phosphorus.  However, phosphorus is just as important for our bones as calcium and is important in helping to keep bones healthy.  Phosphorus is also essential for healthy teeth and is needed to help us to release energy from our food.


Where can I find Phosphorus?

Meat, poultry and dairy foods are all good sources of phosphorus.  You will also find phosphorus in nuts and seeds as well as fish.
