Asian Artisan Food started 5 years ago, my partner and I were making dumplings by ourselves at weekends and days off. We made these by hand at home and froze them in our home freezer. Space was limited and the freezer was small, so we only supplied to one Asian market in the first year. For Chinese New Year day we had to make dumplings in the morning and freeze them and sell in the afternoon and then return to make and freeze again due to the limited facilities.
Now we are selling to 20 Asian markets and restaurants and in October 2018 we will start to sell into our local SuperValu stores with the help of the Food Academy Programme.
