Spice Atlas
Background to Company
This is my family tradition business, which I took forward as a startup. Back in 2011, I worked in the UK for a large company, where I introduced some of my own recipes that became very popular. During that time, I also engaged with local communities, supplying my creations to local events and parties, receiving very positive feedback. Building on that experience, we officially set up our company in 2022, based in Ireland. Our production takes place locally at our site in Slane, Co.Meath where we have been carefully developing and perfecting our recipes and products. Our company is built on a passion for authentic, high-quality food, drawing inspiration from traditional South Asian cooking methods rooted in heritage, particularly traditional barbeque and marinade styles. Using small-batch production ensures that every product reflects the care and authenticity that our family expect.
Product Range and Ingredients
We focus on using Irish suppliers to source all of our ingredients. All our spices are purchased from trusted suppliers in Ireland to ensure quality and authenticity. Our products are handmade in small batches, without any added artificial flavours, guaranteeing fresh, natural, and consistent flavour every time. Our Tandoori Tikka Marinade Paste creates those rich and spicy flavours you associate with tikka but with minimal effort. Our marinade makes it easy for families to enjoy delicious, authentic meals, by simply adding the marinade to meat or vegetables and mixing just before cooking so you can achieve instant flavour without the delay of a typical marinating process.
Sustainability
In terms of sustainability, our products are packed in recyclable glass jars. As a small start-up business we currently produce in small batches, which helps us manage stock carefully and minimise waste. At present we are not part of the Origin Green programme, however we are committed to improving our sustainability practices as the business develops.
Supporting Others
We are currently a small growing business. However, as the company grows, we hope to create local employment opportunities in production and sales. We aim to take part in local markets and community food events in the future as the business develops.
