The entire Scott family helps make their artisan cider in Co. Cavan. Jonathan, the master cider maker, decided to produce his own authentic drink after studying at the cider academy in Gloucester. The result is a beautifully blended drink, made using a variety of cider, eating and cooking apples.
Scotts have been manufacturing since 2014, and now have three ciders in the range, gluten free and vegan friendly, with no artificial colouring or flavouring. Handcrafted for an opulent flavour, Scotts cider makes a great alternative to wine, served with poultry, seafood, pork and mild cheese, or as a drink on its own.
Scotts are grateful for the opportunity to distribute their cider to a wider audience, via SuperValu. The in-store tastings, which are integral to the Food Academy programme, offer them a further platform to market their cider. As a result, they expect to attract a wider audience nationally and grow their business over time.
