Rívesci {Ree-veh-sea} was founded in September 2019 by Tipperary native Shannon Forrest and Declan Malone hailing from Laois. From a Michelin Star kitchen, hotels and cafés, Declan finally wanted to have his own business alongside his wife Shannon and hence Rívesci was born in the heart of rural Tipperary. Life in a vintage caravan took them to many and myriad festivals and food fairs but from early 2020 they decided to become full time condiment makers and focus on their condiments. Since then they have won numerous awards including Great Taste Awards and a Gold Blas na hEireann award too.
Shannon applied for the Food Academy Start programme in 2019 and the whole process cemented their decision in wanting to pursue getting listed with Supervalu and their Food Academy. Supervalu has given Rívesci an opportunity that they once felt was totally out of reach. The condiments are made in small batches by hand to ensure the flavour and quality is consistent in keeping with Declan's high standards.
