O’Flynns are Cork sausage makers who produce their gourmet range of over 40 diﬀerent sausages in the city. Along with pork, O’Flynns also make beef, chicken and venison sausages, using local ingredients whenever possible. Chef Declan O’Flynn founded the company, carrying on a tradition that stretches back to his great-grandfather, who made sausages in Blackpool on the north side of the city. Their stall in Cork’s English Market has been a major attraction for nearly 10 years, supplying sausage lovers with an incredible choice of their own sausages, inspired by recipes from here and abroad. Their grill on Winthrop Street is a big hit with locals and tourists who fancy modern cuisine based on outstanding sausages. They continue to expand their award-winning range, experimenting with new tastes and inﬂuences to show there is no such thing as a humble sausage. It doesn’t stop there. They also make Gourmet Burgers, Black and White Pudding and Dry Cured Bacon.
SuperValu provided key retail insights and advice to O’Flynns as part of the Food Academy Programme. They now stock O’Flynns sausages (along with black and white pudding) in both the Food Academy and chilled area in-store. SuperValu are also providing O’Flynns with an opportunity to showcase their new Gluten Free Range, made with 95% meat. Crucially, SuperValu provide a way for O’Flynns to grow nationwide and create employment locally.
O’Flynn's employs about 20 people across their retail, restaurant and manufacturing sites.
