Mushrooms And Love
Mushrooms And Love began in 2020 when we relocated to Ireland from Singapore and found ourselves rethinking our business during the COVID. What started as a fun home project—growing oyster mushrooms—quickly turned into something bigger. With an abundance of fresh mushrooms, we began selling them at local farmers' markets, where the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Building on this success and drawing from my background as a chef, I started experimenting with creative ways to use mushrooms. This led to the development of our Mushroom Crisps—a unique, hand-crafted snack. We introduced them at farmers' markets and refined the recipe based on customer feedback. Over the past four years, we have continuously improved our recipes and processes, creating high-quality products we’re proud to share today.
Mushrooms And Love reflects the heart of our brand and our core values: innovation, sustainability, and a love for nourishing, locally made products. Our product line features three varieties of Mushroom Crisps—Sweet Chilli, Umami, and Shroom—all handmade in County Cavan, Ireland, in small batches using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Sustainability is at the core of our business. Our packaging is fully recyclable, and most of our production energy is solar-powered. By supporting local producers and keeping food miles low, we ensure that our practices align with our commitment to environmental responsibility.
The SuperValu Food Academy has played a crucial role in our journey, offering retail guidance, packing and branding development, health and safety training, industry insights, and the opportunity to showcase our products to a wider audience.
