Muchgrange Farm

We are Muchgrange Farm, a family-run business based in the rolling countryside of County Louth, Ireland. Our farm has been passed down through generations, with a rich farming heritage that we are incredibly proud of and for years, we’ve been dedicated to sustainable farming and producing high-quality, local food. In 2019, we decided to expand our passion for fresh, locally grown ingredients into something even more special: artisan dairy products. That’s when we began producing our own milk and, eventually, our signature gelato – a true taste of our farm in every scoop.

Where tradition meets taste. A family-run gem nestled in the heart of the Cooley Peninsula, we are committed to preserving the timeless art of dairy craftsmanship. From our fields to your table, experience milk the way it used to be, paired with artisan gelato that's simply unforgettable. We take great pride in our cows and the way we care for them. From our grass-fed cows to the carefully crafted methods we use in production, we ensure that every drop of milk is full of flavour and quality. Our gelato is a natural extension of our values. Made in small batches using the freshest milk from our farm, we craft each batch by hand, ensuring rich and creamy textures that reflect the care we put into our farming practices. We offer a variety of gelato flavours, to create indulgent and authentic Irish gelato.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Muchgrange Farm. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and supporting local, sustainable farming practices. We strive to minimize food waste by using as much of our produce as possible and by carefully managing our production processes. Our packaging is eco-friendly and recyclable, and we work with local suppliers to reduce food miles and support the local economy. This commitment to sustainability ensures that our products not only taste good but do good for the planet as well.

Beyond sustainability, we are passionate about creating jobs in our community. As Muchgrange Farm has grown, we have been able to provide local employment and offer training opportunities for people in our area. We also partner with local charities and we work hard to make a positive impact on our community.

The SuperValu Food Academy has been instrumental in helping us grow. Their support has provided invaluable expertise, from product development to branding and marketing, allowing us to reach a wider audience while staying true to our roots. Thanks to the Food Academy, we’ve gained the confidence to expand our range and share the unique flavours of Muchgrange Farm with more people across Ireland.
