I am a qualified chef and have been working in the organic food sector in retail and distribution for most of my life. Originally from West Yorkshire, I ran a successful vegan bakery and farmers market stall business before relocating to Ireland in 2012. Settling in North County Wexford, I began by growing fresh salad leaves and selling ready-to-eat salads and hummus at Ballygarrett Country Market and Wexford Bullring.
I started baking my heart shaped crackers as a delightful accompaniment for hummus but soon these crackers quickly became the star of the market, outselling everything else. Recognising their potential, I decided that in early 2014 I would pivot my focus on supplying crackers to retail outlets, first focusing on local independent shops, delis and cheese stalls.
Hand-mixed, rolled, and cut in our quaint bakery in North County Wexford, our crackers are made using the finest ingredients. We use an array of delicious seeds and Irish cold-pressed organic rapeseed oil, ensuring each bite is as nutritious as it is delightful. With a commitment to quality and an artisanal touch, Isle of Crackers has expanded significantly. Today, our crackers are a favourite in households and specialty stores. We now stock over now stocked in over 100 outlets in all counties including, renowned names like Avoca, Ardkeen Stores, and three Pettitt’s Supervalu Stores.
While our typical customer is a health-conscious female aged between 30 and 60, Isle of Crackers appeals to anyone who values tasty snacks. Our heart-shaped crackers are not just a treat for the taste buds but also a healthy addition to any diet
