My culinary journey began with my mother, whose passion for food and cooking has left me with cherished memories that continue to bring immense joy. A decade ago, after becoming a mother myself and pursuing a career as a childminder, my passion for cooking took a transformative turn. Catering to babies, toddlers, and children opened up a world of flavours and possibilities. Seeing little ones explore diverse tastes and textures with wide-eyed wonder deeply influenced my culinary approach.
Through food courses, I gained both knowledge and confidence in the kitchen. Listening to the stories of parents and grandparents has helped me understand the challenges of nourishing children. My mission is simple: to create meals that not only delight children but also give parents the peace of mind of providing healthy, balanced options. After all, we all want happy, thriving kids.
My meals are made with love and care at the SPADE Enterprise Centre in Smithfield, Dublin 7, using local, organic, and seasonal ingredients wherever possible. All the meat I use is Irish, ensuring low food miles and supporting local farmers. Even the packaging is recyclable, reflecting my commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The SuperValu Food Academy has been an invaluable guide, helping me navigate the steps to achieve my goals. I gained help on finance, branding and marketing strategies, while also providing further education on food safety and production. It’s not just a programme; it’s a roadmap to success for small businesses like mine.
