Hanley’s was founded in 1957, when they opened there butcher shop in the main street of Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. Following on from that Anthony started making black and white pudding using a recipe that has now been in the family for 120 years and was normally only used in the household.
This recipe has brought us to win multiple awards for our pudding on numerous occasions and could probably be one of the best puddings in the world, if proven. Which in turn created a demand for our pudding. To get our product out there we needed help and we got that by attending workshops and working with SuperValu on the food academy, SuperValu has given us the much appreciated opportunity to work with them and put our products on their shelf.
We have seven employees and in the near future we will be creating more local employment in our area when our new production plant is finished.
