Ebb & Flow
Ebb & Flow is a small artisan company based in Dun Laoghaire producing tasty seaweed pesto’s. Anne O Hagan set up this company in 2022 to create a range of delicious Irish seaweed- based products to reintroduce people to this fabulous forgotten Irish superfood. We hope to provide people with an easy way to incorporate seaweed into their diet which will be good for them and good for the planet. All our seaweeds are sustainably harvested in the West of Ireland, and all our products use the highest quality ingredients to ensure their deliciousness. We only use Olive Oils sourced directly from a small farm in Portugal.
Our current range consists of an award-winning Green Pesto made with Wild Irish Seaweed and an award -winning Sundried Tomato Pesto enriched with Irish seaweed.
We try to be as sustainable as we can through our ingredients, our packaging and our processes. All our seaweeds are hand harvested in the Atlantic Ocean. Seaweed is the most sustainable plant on the planet and can grow up to 3ft per day. It is high in iodine, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, and a range of other nutrients important for human health. The fact that it is plant-based and high in protein means that the product has many health benefits and helps the environment. Our pesto’s are supplied in glass jars which are recyclable and we produce in small batches to reduce waste.
All our products are plant based, dairy free and there are no additives or preservatives.
We currently supply local independent stores and trade at Farmers Markets but are now in the process of growing our business with the help of the Food Academy Programme.
