Situated in the heart of West Cork, a region renowned for its fine food producers, I began my food business in 2014. Following an education in holistic nutrition, I was well aware of the health benefits of live cultured foods. For those that don’t know, cultured foods are naturally rich in probiotics and are a powerful tool for supporting digestive health. I began dabbling in my own kitchen making sauerkrauts and kimchi for my family and friends and quickly realised there was an opening in the market for my products here in Ireland.
We are now distributing nationally throughout Ireland and the UK to Health Food shops and to SuperValu’s throughout Munster.
SuperValu has been an important route to the Irish market for us. Any SuperValu store that we have approached has been really helpful and more than happy to trial our products as they like to support local developing food businesses.
The cultured Food Company currently employs three staff. Due to the rapid growth of the business we will be increasing our work force within the coming months.
Our range of sauerkrauts are versatile condiments which taste great with any meal - look out for them in the chilled section!
