Chimac
Our story started back in 2016. We took a trip to Seoul and fell head over heels in love with Korean cuisine. Inspired by Korea’s love affair with fried chicken, we opened Chimac, a fast-casual restaurant in the heart of Dublin city centre in 2019. Our restaurant combines our obsession with bold punchy flavours and crispy fried chicken, served alongside a range of Irish craft beer.
Our sauce range uses traditional Korean ingredients in accessible yet exciting recipes which incorporate our own unique Irish culinary influences and experiences. They’ve been tried and tested on hundreds and thousands of consumers who have visited our restaurants.
Supervalu has helped up to grow our business and bring our sauces to homes across Ireland, reaching a new customer base with a fresh and convenient proposition.
Since we launched our sauce business we have created jobs but also focused on upskilling and training our staff.
Sustainability is very important to us and it’s evident in the packaging we choose – glass, cardboard and recyclable plastic only. We produce our sauces in small batches in Dublin 8 on a weekly basis, based upon orders which means we have limited waste. Where possible we ask our suppliers to reduce packaging
