Bia Beirut

My name is Rabih Farah. I am from Beirut, Lebanon and my wife, Pamela is from Cork. We created Bia Beirut in 2024. Our food journey began in our kitchen in Cork. We created Bia Beirut to share our love of Lebanese food, and bring the vibrant flavours of Beirut to Irish tables. 

We startedmaking traditional Lebanese dips, spreads, snaps and breads from our home kitchen, selling locally and in the Farmer’s markets in Cork. We wanted to share the food I grew up with and love, using fresh, local Irish ingredients wherever possible whilst importing Lebanese ingredients that make the food typically Lebanese! Our production is proudly based in Cork, where every batch is still handmade with care. Our dream of bringing my own and my family’s recipes to life in Cork is happening.  

Our range includes authentic Lebanese-inspired dips, from creamy hummus to mouthwatering muhammara, and sourdough crunchy snaps. Each with a nod to my roots. Whether it is my mam’s hummus recipe, every product is crafted in small batches, using fresh, natural ingredients with no additives or preservatives. We believe good food doesn’t need to be complicated to taste good. 

Sustainability is at the core of how we work. We use ecofriendly packaging, source locally where possible, and are mindful of food waste, creating efficiently to reduce excess and support a cleaner food system. As we grow, we’re proud to create opportunities locally from supporting small suppliers to creating jobs and sharing skills. Our goal is to grow responsibly while staying true to our rootsboth Lebanese and Irish. 

The SuperValu Food Academy has been a game changer for us. It gave us the guidance, support, and confidence to move from kitchen to shelfto bring the flavours of Beirut to Cork and beyond. Through mentorship, market access, and encouragement, we’ve found our place among Ireland’s passionate food producers. The support has been immense!
