John and Sarah have been operating Baska Bakery since December 2021. Our bakery is located in Bohermeen Co. Meath. Sarah is the 5th generation of her family to be a baker, but prior to Baska she was working in IT. John previously worked in railway engineering, and also has baking in his family background.
Baska Bakery is a member of Real Bread Ireland and specialises in producing naturally leavened sourdough bread, using only 3 main ingredients – flour, water and salt. All flour is organic and we only choose the highest quality ingredients. Our 3 day bread making process gives our bread enhanced digestibility and a unique, delicious flavour.
Working with SuperValu and the Food Academy program has been a fantastic help and support to our business. The knowledge gained has been invaluable and will help Baska to grow, with our aim being to create jobs and serve the community with delicious, nutritious and healthy sourdough bread.
