This recipe will make your roast potatoes that bit more tasty.
Serves: 5 people
- Preheat the oven to 190°C/gas mark 5.
- Put the potatoes in a small saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain, then put them back in the pan and give them a shake to rough up their edges.
- Put the fat in a roasting tray and place the tray in the oven for a few minutes to melt the fat. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot fat and season well with salt and pepper. Roast in the oven for 25 to 35 minutes, until cooked through and golden.
