Five Spice Turkey Stir-fry

RECIPE OVERVIEW

This is a quick and easy stir fry recipe that’s full of flavour and a definite way to increase your vegetable intake, omit the Turkey for a vegetarian option.

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Serves: 4 people

  • 2 tsp Five Spice Powder
  • 8 - Mushrooms
    thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Rapeseed Oil
  • 1 - Red Pepper
    thinly sliced
  • 3 ml Sherry
    (optional)
  • 1 tsp SuperValu Cornflour
  • 1 clove SuperValu Garlic
    thinly sliced
  • 100 g SuperValu Green Beans
  • 1 - SuperValu Onion
    thinly sliced
  • 500 g SuperValu Rice
    cooked as per pack instructions
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Soy Sauce
  • 500 g SuperValu Turkey Breast
    thinly sliced

Method

  1. In a bowl combine the soy sauce, cornflour, sherry and five spice, stir to combine into a smooth sauce.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok over a high heat and add the vegetables and stir fry for 2-3minutes.
  3. Add the cooked turkey breast and cook until cooked through.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce mix over the turkey and vegetable mixture and reduce the heat.
  5. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  6. To serve, divide the rice between 4 serving plates and add some turkey stir fry, drizzle with some wok juices and serve immediately.
