This pear compote is a magical match with blue cheese, either on a cheeseboard or
in a sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 3 - SuperValu Pear ripe, halved and cored
  • 1 drop Vanilla Extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/ gas mark 4.

  2. Put the pears in a shallow baking dish, cut side up, with roughly 2cm of water. Add a dash of vanilla extract to each pear. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes, until tender. Allow to cool before blending to a fairly smooth purée. This purée works well on its own but is equally good with chicken for your baby.
