O’Leary’s SuperValu Tower Launches Revamped Store Following €2 Million Investment
More than 20 years of serving and supporting the Kilnamucky community.
Cork, 9th October, 2025: O’Leary’s SuperValu Tower has officially reopened its newly revamped, state-of-the-art store following a €2 million investment. Serving the Kilnamucky community for over 20 years and across three generations, the store continues to evolve to meet the needs of its customers. The store is served by a total of 120 employees.
The extensive revamp delivers an enhanced shopping experience, with standout features including a new in-store bakery, deli, off-license, food-to-go counter, butchery, a Freshly Prepared designated area, alongside expanded ranges such as Clonakilty Gluten Free Kitchen, Donnybrook Fair, Mercato Italiano and The Happy Pear.
Sustainability has been placed at the heart of the redesign. The store now incorporates energy-efficient refrigeration, LED lighting and 373 solar panels, which together deliver an average 20% reduction in emissions. These initiatives highlight SuperValu’s commitment to environmentally responsible retailing.

Since opening its doors in 2003, O’Leary’s SuperValu Tower has been a proud supporter of local initiatives, backing schools, charities, and sports organisations. The store is the main sponsor of Inniscarra GAA and Blarney United and continues to work closely with community groups such as the Tower Association. The store also supports the local TidyTowns committee and works closely with the Tower Community Association. This long-standing dedication to local producers and community causes underlines the store’s role at the heart of Kilnamucky life.
