Super Simple Smoked Mackerel Paté

A healthy and delicious snack for when you arrive home and you need to eat something fast!

  • 1 tbsp Horseradish
  • 0.5 - Lemon zest and juice
  • 250 g Natural Yogurt
  • 1 pack SuperValu Mackerel Fillets smoked and peppered


You will need a mixing bowl, a fork and a grater.

  1. Remove fillets from their packaging.
  2. Skin the fillets and check for bones,using your hands to remove any you find, break fish into pieces in mixing bowl.
  3. Grate the zest and squeeze the lemon juice over the fish.
  4. Add the yogurt and horseradish sauce. Mix everything together with a fork. Cover and leave to rest in fridge for an hour before using.

Spread on Oatcakes or brown soda bread, top with a few slices of cucumber and enjoy. Good as a packed lunch too. Stores well in fridge - keep covered Healthy source of fish oils - good for body and brain!
