Slow Roast Beef Brisket

It can be started the night before and finished cooking the following day. The beef should just come away in string like pieces. It cooks best when it is fully sealed in and has 6 hrs cooking time.

  • 1 large SuperValu Beef
  • 1 tsp SuperValu Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp SuperValu Honey
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp SuperValu Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce


  1. Preheat your oven to gas mark 6.
  2. Season the beef with salt & pepper & a little tabasco then seal the beef in a frying pan with a little olive oil. Make sure all sides are browned.
  3. On a large sheet of tinfoil put some honey, tabasco, soy sauce & chilli flakes. Wrap the sealed beef in the tin foil.
  4. Use a second sheet to seal it completely. Place oven dish with a cup of water in the dish. Slow cook in the oven for up to 6 hrs at gas mark 3.
