Makes 2 x 350g Jars.

  • 225 g Caster Sugar
  • 1 small Fresh SuperValu Mixed Chilli chopped and deseeded if you prefer less heat
  • 500 g Red Pepper
  • 60 ml SuperValu White Wine Vinegar


  1. Using a peeler remove the outer skin from the red pepper, then remove the seeds.
  2. Place the pepper in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth.
  3. Transfer to a large saucepan, next add the vinegar and sugar, and stir to combine.
  4. Place the pan over low heat and continue to stir until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add chilli to the peppers mixture.
  6. Increase the heat to medium and bring to the boil.
  7. Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
  8. Set aside until the bubbles subside.
  9. Use a large metal spoon to skim any froth from the surface of the mixture.
