This recipe is great when you have soggy tomatoes you have forgotten about in the fridge. It's a great way to use them up and its so tasty. A crunchy slice of white bread dipped in it is a real treat.

  • 1 - Black Pepper
  • 100 mls Malt Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Sugar
  • 6 - SuperValu Tomato


  1. Cut up the tomatoes and leave to marinate in a bowl with the vinegar and sugar and pepper for half an hour or so.
  2. Transfer to a frying pan in which you have already been frying sausages and eggs having poured off any excess fat - don't clean the pan!
  3. Cook the tomatoes until they are soft and season more to your liking if necessary .
  4. Pour this sauce over the cooked sausages and fried egg and enjoy.
