Easy Grilled Oysters with Improper Butter

  • 1 - 7up 2ltr
  • 200 g Improper Chilli and Garlic Butter
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice to serve
  • 12 - Oysters live, fresh and unopened
  • 2 tbsp SuperValu Fresh Coriander chopped, to serve


  1. Preheat the oven grill to a high heat.
  2. Carefully place your oysters on the grill and cook for about 4 minutes, until they start to open. Carefully remove the oysters from the grill and place them on a baking sheet. Open with an oyster knife or a knife that’s short and thick. Slightly loosen the oyster on the bottom.
  3. Fill each shell with a generous amount of the chilli butter and carefully put the oysters back under the grill for another 1 or 2 minutes, until the butter has melted.
  4. Place the oysters on a platter and serve while hot with some coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice.
