The beauty of this dish is that it is very quick and easy to prepare and will be on your plate within minutes.

Beef Stir Fry

  • 50 g Broccoli broken in to spears
  • 1 - Green Pepper sliced
  • 6 - Mushrooms thinly sliced
  • 1 medium SuperValu Onion thinly sliced
  • 450 g SuperValu Quality Irish Sirloin Steak from the Butcher Counter

Buttered Noodles

  • 300 g SuperValu Cooked Noodles

From the Store Cupboard

  • 25 g SuperValu Butter
  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Honey
  • 1 tbsp SuperValu Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp SuperValu Soy Sauce


Beef Stir Fry

    1. Cut the sirloin steak into long thin strips.
    2. Heat a large wok or sauté pan with the oil and add in the sirloin strips.
    3. Cook quickly for 2-3 minutes until the sirloin strips are browned.
    4. Season lightly at this stage.
    5. Add in mushrooms, onion, pepper and broccoli and cook very quickly for a further 3-4 minutes until they have softened. To prevent the stir fry from burning add in a couple of tablespoons of water.
    6. Next add in soy sauce and honey, and mix well until fully coated.

Buttered Noodles

  1. Heat a large pan with 1oz of butter. Add in the noodles and mix well.
  2. Season lightly and ensure that they are sufficiently heated before serving.
  3. Serve the beef stir-fry on top of the buttered noodles on a large plate.


Top Tip

Why not substitute the beef with pork, duck or chicken.
