SuperValu Supreme Christmas Pudding, produced by Seery’s, based in the village of Tinryland, Co. Carlow, was awarded a gold medal in the Christmas Cakes & Puddings category. Seery’s who take great pride in their puddings employ 35 people at a custom-built state of the art bakery on a two acre site just outside Carlow town. The award winning SuperValu Supreme Christmas pudding combines quality ingredients along with time-honoured baking techniques.

Dublin

SuperValu Supreme Mini Desert Selection, produced by Couverture, the premium desert specialists based in Dublin was awarded a gold medal in the Puddings & Deserts category. This unique product is a medley of mini deserts to give SuperValu customers a little piece of what they fancy. Couverture Desserts are passionate about great tasting honest food. The company has gained an enviable reputation for quality and reliability in the specialist world of Patisserie.

SuperValu Supreme Billionaires Desert, produced by Couverture, the premium desert specialists based in Dublin was awarded a bronze medal in the Puddings & Deserts category. This unique product is made using only the finest of ingredients; Chocoalte from Callebaut in Belgium which contains a high cocoa content and dairy creams that are free from Hydrogenated Fats. Couverture Desserts are passionate about great tasting honest food. The company has gained an enviable reputation for quality and reliability in the specialist world of Patisserie.

SuperValu Supreme Mash with Carrot & Turnip, supplied by Country Crest, based in North Co. Dublin was awarded a silver medal in the Ready Meals & Prepared Foods (Hot) category. Country Crest are passionate about the quality of food they produce and are committed to using local produce, having built an important local grower base. They strive to deliver quality foods at affordable prices to SuperValu customers.

Cork

SuperValu Honey, produced by Healy’s Honey which is located in Ballincollig, Co. Cork was awarded a silver medal in the honey category. Healy’s Honey is a family run business established in the late 1970’s by Patrick Healy, a keen beekeeper, cultivating his hobby into a successful award winning business. The family strives to continue the traditions and values initiated with quality and excellence remaining their primary focus. The company specialises in producing honey for the SuperValu Range at stores nationwide.

SuperValu Supreme Cheddar Cheese, supplied by Bandon vale based in West Cork, was awarded a silver medal in the Cheese Cheddar category. Based in the heart of the rich West Cork dairy region, the company was set up in 1994 by Andy and Margaret Mahon. Bandon is set apart by its responsiveness to the needs of the customers, product performance, functionality and highest quality goods.

Tyrone

SuperValu Natural Goats Cheese, supplied by Five Mile Town Creamery based in Co. Tyrone, was awarded a silver medal in the Cheese Soft category. Five Mile Town Creamery have a long tradition of artisan cheese making and have been making award winning dairy produce since 1989. They believe that great cheese depends on two things; the quality of the cheese maker and the quality of the ingredients. For generations, cheese makers have been using milk from our herds that roam the lush pastures of Northern Ireland to make distinctive cheeses for Irish consumers.

Roscommon

SuperValu Smoked Pork Loin Roast, supplied by Oliver Carty Ltd., located in the heart of Ireland in Athlone, Co. Roscommon, was awarded a silver medal in the Pork category. The family business was set up by Oliver Carty in 1960 and is now run by Oliver’s son Ted. A variety of traditional methods are used to smoke the Pork to give its own distinctive yet subtle flavour for the SuperValu Range.

Monaghan

SuperValu Supreme Cumberland Pork Sausages, produced by Mallon which is located Hilden, Co Monaghan, was awarded a bronze medal in the Sausages category. The company was established by master butcher Arthur Mallon in the 1940’s, armed with a wealth of experience and family recipes handed down through generations. Today, Mallon’s are highly regarded as specialist sausage makers and now produce sausage exclusively for the SuperValu Range.
