Moran's
Moran's Mega Jam was set up in 2010 by Kieron & Claire Moran producing a range of quirky and innovative jams, chutneys, relishes and pesto using the best of local and Irish fruit.
We started out as a hobby where we sold our products at the local farmers market - it was here that we met the local Supervalu owner who loved our products and asked us to stock his store.
We then joined the Food Academy programme in conjunction with Musgraves and Bord Bia and through the Food Academy programme we received the support and knowledge needed to supply stores in our area and across the entire country. As a result of this, we stopped producing at home and in 2012 we moved to our purpose built unit in the village of Ballinagh in Co. Cavan which allowed us to start growing our business.
We source 90% of all the fruit we use from local farms and we have helped create several hundred local jobs that are now growing fruit to supply us specifically. Supervalu has been an invaluable partner in helping to grow our business and teaching us how the retail process works.
We have continued to grow our product range and have received numerous awards for our innovative range.
