John Murphy of Uncle Aidan’s flour is the 3rd generation of millers in the Murphy family. The flour is milled in the oldest working waterpowered flour mill, dating back to 1832 – making it the oldest in the country, at a commercial level.
Uncle Aidan’s flour adopts the age old process of grinding the whole grain on a set of french burr milling stones; giving the flour its unique and authentic flavour. It is 100% natural, with just a single ingredient, with no additives or preservatives. It is Irelands only water powered mill producing pure stoneground wholewheat flour.
Produced in Wexford, Uncle Aidan’s Flour is now available in 11 SuperValu stores nationwide, with expansion to further stores nationwide expected, through the Food Academy Advance programme.
