The Chocolate Garden of Ireland is renowned for making spectacularly tasting chocolates. With its origins in waffle making back in 2001, husband and wife team – Jim and Mary Healy have since diversified and now make a wide range of premium confectionery including ice cream and handmade chocolates, and also invite visitors to learn about their craft at chocolate workshops near Tullow, Co. Carlow.
"Until 2016, we have been supplying only a relatively small number of delis and gift outlets. Through Supervalu’s Food Academy Programme, we now bring you all the taste of great chocolate but tailored to the particular dietary needs of diabetics, coeliac and those avoiding carbs - luxurious, smooth and intense in flavour - all the taste, and better."
Employing 20 people in a rural area, The Chocolate Garden of Ireland is a member of Bord Bia’s Origin Green, adopting sustainable production practices and promoting biodiversity in the area.
"As a growing market, we are hopeful that demand will grow for our luxury special dietary requirement chocolate and new product developments will be possible in the future."
