Shanagarry Smoked Salmon are passionate artisan producers of Organic Irish Oak Smoked Salmon, with a very proud tradition stretching back over 30 years.
Our small smokehouse, just up the road from our home in the village of Shanagarry in East Cork, is a simple place, where the best organic salmon from Ireland's west coast are delivered, filleted and dry salted, before long hours of cold smoking. We have our own technique, which we have been using for over 30 years. Everything is done here by Bill and his daughters from the salting and smoking to hand slicing and packing. We switched to smoking only organic salmon over 6 years ago.
The business was started by Bill Casey over 30 years ago. Traditionally, we have supplied the restaurant and export markets. Bill’s daughters, Grainne and Sinéad have become more involved in the family business in the last year. With the help of Supervalu and the Food Academy, the family are hoping to break into the retail market, ensuring that the company can be around for another 30 years!
