Mezze believes in bringing a little warmth to your table, whatever the weather with their delicious range of authentic Middle Eastern foods. In 2015, on returning to Ireland after living in the Middle East, husband and wife Dvir Nusery and Nicola Crowley realised their dreams of starting their food business located in Dunhill Ecopark in beautiful Dunhill, Co. Waterford.

Healthy, wholesome and tasty food has always been of the upmost importance for the duo. Dvir grew up with a family for whom every gathering starts with planning what food will be eaten. Whether it was a family celebration or a picnic in the park his childhood food was always homemade and nutritious with flavours from all over the Middle East.

Nicola, born and raised in Waterford met Dvir backpacking around the world when he introduced her to the flavours of the Middle East. Back home in Dvir’s mother’s house, Nicola quickly became accustomed to family meals of a table full of dips, salads and freshly baked bread as the evening’s appetizers, before the next three courses came out! Since then she has adopted this food as her own and for her family.

Any time they visited Ireland the pair had frequent requests from friends and family to make the dips and salads that they knew from the Middle East. They knew it was something that Irish people were looking for – healthy food which is full of flavour and free from preservatives – and so Mezze was born.

Since setting up Mezze, the pair have had an overwhelmingly positive response to their range of Middle Eastern foods which they began selling at farmers markets, major food festivals and now, thanks to the Food Academy, retail outlets.

Now that Mezze is part of the Food Academy, we have the wonderful opportunity for people to try our products at Supervalus so they can bring home a little warmth of the Middle East and can dip, dollop, and spread the love!
